Shower Chair

Barbara Duffy is one courageous and loving wife, mother, and woman. In her blog Multiple Sclerosis Carer she describes her journey on the path of caring for a spouse with MS. Her words are pure. Her heart is warm. And her love can simply be felt through the screen that you are veiwing her blog with.

Recently she made a brave step and took the initiative to ask for some help; specifically, she asked for  a shower chair for her husband, Don. Don had been given what was referred to as “blue baths” at the care facility he is in currently. I am not familiar with why they call them this, nor is Barbara, but it seemed to a somewhat appropriate title as it tended to make Don unhappy. His dignity was been corroded in the blue bath process. So, Barbara, with her sweet spirit wrote the management at the home where Don is being cared for. She admittedly states that she wasn’t all that hopeful for results, but to her surprise she got positive results. Upon her request Don was granted a shower chair and no longer has to be humiliated with the Blue Bath.
